This week we will work in class to outline, and create the first draft of the Personal Reflection Essay.
On Monday students will identify three key elements of the PRE: the Topic, the Scene/Narrative, and the Significant Truth that they learned from the experience. Once I have met with the student and approved these three elements, the student will begin writing their essay.
On A Day, students will briefly review the essay "Fish Cheeks," which we read on Friday, for the structure of narrative and reflection. Then the student will apply the lesson to their own work.
B Day: Students will turn in TWO COPIES of their rough draft. One is for me, the other, will be given to their partner on Friday, when we do a Peer Review.
*No late work will be accepted for credit.
